The Heart of It...
The veterinary profession thrives on the dedication of veterinary health teams (VHTs) who provide exceptional care to animals and meaningful support to their owners. To sustain this commitment, VHTs need a profession that offers a sense of fulfillment, fair compensation, career growth and leadership that values their essential contributions. They seek workplaces that foster teamwork, personal well-being, flexibility, and modern technologies that enable them to deliver the best outcomes.
Despite ongoing efforts, systemic challenges persist, leaving many VHTs overworked and unfulfilled, and hindering the stability of the profession and its future workforce. REVAMP is a collaboration of veterinary health leaders united by a singular mission: helping VHTs rediscover balance, purpose, and the ability to thrive in a profession that is necessary for the health of animals.
Since our founding in 2024, the REVAMP team has analyzed the most common veterinary workforce challenges, and identified the three priority areas to be addressed urgently:
